Welcome!

If you quilt, no matter how accomplished or for how long you have been quilting, you know the incredible feeling it gives you. I get that same feeling each time I make a top, teach a class a new technique, develop a shortcut, inspire a beginner to take a giant step, or just get all my quilts out and look at them! I love it! I'm addicted and have been since childhood!

Join me and enjoy! I hope you take something away from this site that you will want to share with someone and they will share it again and again.

Enjoy browsing some of my quilts below and my reverse applique jacket. I offer classes for many of them, so visit our Class page for further infomation. Please email me, call the shop or come visit me at the shop, I would love to hear from you!

HOUSE DRESS QUILT

Marlene Horning is back to her usual creative cuteness with this darling House Dress quilt that she designed. Each little dress is unique with buttons, belts, ribbons, lace, pockets, and even an apron. This quilt is especially dear to her as the blocks were from the students who took the class!

DESIGNER REVERSE APPLIQUE FLEECE JACKET

Slimming design. Lightweight.

Perfect for restaurants and theaters.

Trend setting fashion. Each one hand crafted with TLC from the heart of the USA.

By women designing for women.

RED & BLACK QUILT

Marlene was inspired at a quilt show to make this quilt. It is a variation of a rail fence pattern which she teaches beginning quilters. The fabric has an oriental air so the quilting imitated flowing water which complements the gemetric design.

If you would like to have Marlene teach this or a beginning quilting class, please contact her.

APPLE CORE QUILT

Have you ever wanted a truly hand made treasure? If so this is it! From start to finish, this little Apple Core quilt was completely done by hand. Not one stitch was done on the machine, not even the binding!

Marlene's color sense is so remarkable! Note how she used her fabric choice to make a "border".

Another remarkable note about this quilt is that all the fabrics a from other projects that she's made.

Marlene says her hand quilting isn't what it used to be but you sure couldn't tell it by her work here! She's won countless awards for her hand quilting as well as her design work.
